Inclosed herewith is a copy of a report of sighting unidentified flying objects observed over Condamine, Queensland, Australia.

This report is an extract from a file maintained by RAAF Intelligence and was made available to this office in answer to a request. The existence of this file was made known to this office recently during discussions with RAAF Intelligence concerning other intelligence matters.

she replied "Yes". They discussed the matter deciding that they contact the owner
of the homestead (MR. ) who lived a mile away from where was
boring. The owner, who was busy dipping sheep at the time of the sighting said that
he had neither heard nor sighted the objects. As they were flood bound at the time,
Mr. and his wife could not contact anyone re. this matter, and on first
arriving in immediately reported the matter to the Army.

On interviewing Mr. GOEBEL, the following information was gained:

At 1600 hours on the 2nd February, 1951, whilst working his plant at Woodlands Station, 20 miles south-west of the town of CONDAMINE, he had occasion to stop his boring plant to make repairs to a belt. After doing this, he heard a high-pitched swishing noise as though a willy-nilly was approaching through the timber close by.

On looking up he caught sight of eight (8) objects shaped thus:

OBSERVER: Mrs. , TOONOOMPA.

At 1600 hours on the 2nd February, 1951 Mrs. was with her
husband who was working a boring plant on Woodlands Station, 20 miles
south-west of the town of CONDAMINE.

Her husband stopped the machinery to repair a belt which had broken,
when she heard a peculiar noise. She saw her husband pointing to the
sky saying in an excited way, "Look". On looking up, Mrs. caught
sight of approximately eight (8) objects flying in a bunch at
very high speed.
