BURMUDA fs B-9% Mo as a flying over the Atlantic Ocean near Burmuda reported receiving a peculiar radar return on the night of eee The return consisted of a : {s clear and well defined circular formation containing 7 and at times 8 objects.

» y Photographs were taken of the scope and were included with the report. The operator r reported that no naval activity was observed and that this was the most peculiar return he had encountered in his LO years of experience.

An inquiry to the Navy produced the definite identification of these reported objects as having been an aircraft carrier accompanied by six destroyers and one Submarine enroute from Naples to Norfolk.
