August 19, 1936

Dear Sirs,

At the risk of being considered "unbalanced" I wish to report that on the evening of August 14 (Tues.) my son Michael (Age 34) and I were making out of our 6th floor apartment window watching the afterglow on the horizon after the sun had set when we observed a wingless aircraft approaching from a west-south-westerly direction. Nothing obstructed our view. It was, I believe, what has been referred to as a "flying saucer."

When first I realized that I could see no wings, I thought it was merely too distant. I approached straight towards us and although

has no mention of anyone reporting a similar story.

By son and I will probably be returning home within a week. Here is [redacted] New York. It is next to the city of Corning, New York where my husband is employed as a [redacted] for Corning Glass Works. If you desire to contact me or text my sanity I will be at the above address.
