Dear Sirs:

At the risk of being declared nutty, or of being held up to ridicule, I wish to report the sighting of a phenomenon at 5.55 P.M. Sunday June 20, 1956. This object was sighted in the Eastern sky about 30° above the horizon. It caught my eye for about 15 seconds and as I realized it was unusual. It seemed to jump up or fly to about a 45 degree angle; then it stopped for

a few seconds, at this time I yelled for my wife and son and daughter in law to look out before any one of them could follow it it streaked across the sky to the West and disappeared. It appeared to be a round disc, and had a low grade glisten to it or was glowing with some sort of light. It appeared to be smaller than the appearance of the full moon and there were encentive and radiating lines. I am not looking for publicity. But if this is of any help to you & offer it for whatever is seen before, I may have.

Yours truly
