Texas Boy Gets Photos

Pourtoon-year-old Jack Spiro, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Spiro of 12 Paso, Texas, was using his telescope on Thursday, 25 June 1964 when he spotted three V-shiped objects in the southwestern sky. One glowed, the other two were "dark ivory" in color. The boy photographed the objects with color film. He subsequently sent the film to Dallas for special processing. When the film came back, the boy's parents notified authorities at Bigg AFB. An Air Force sedan picked Jack up at school and took him to Biggs where he and Air Force technicians observed the film. SUBJECT: Alleged UFO Sighting, 25 Jun 64, El Paso, Texas

1. This sighting was investigated by the 95 Bomb Wing Intelligence Division and determined to be a weather observation balloon launched from the El Paso weather station some 10 minutes prior to the sighting. Tracking data at the launch site corresponded perfectly with the reported positions of the supposed UFO.

El Paso Boy, 14, May Have Films Of Three UFO's

El Paso (AP) - A 14-year-old El Paso youth believes he has captured unidentified flying objects on film.

Missing picture film taken by Jack Spiro Thursday has been sent to Dallas for processing.

Spiro reported seeing three Y-shaped objects in the southwestern sky late Thursday afternoon. One of them glowed. The other two, he said, were dark ivory in color.

The youth viewed the objects with his telescope as they moved northward. He then took films of the objects.

Dear Major,

Wrong a severe interest in the subject of
uncertified Injury 11745 and very a collater of such
photographs I identify real of a young El. Rev. Texas
youth who claimed to have taken colored motion
pictures of a U.S.C. This story appeared in the local
Texas newspapers and I would like to ask the
following questions in reference to this film strip.

A. Were the Rev. Texas aware of this film
strip and have they appeared in interest?

B. Was your department in possession of
this film strip, if so what was the final analysis?

The Air Force cannot identify a photograph without the date or location of the sighting and the name of the photographer who took the film.

There are no unidentified cases in Air Force files which were submitted with photographic evidence. All photographs submitted have been identified as known or conventional objects or hoaxes.
