It was first spotted at about 11:15 p.m., and was still visible half an hour later, The Advertiser's informant said. At approximately 0820 hours on 25 ifay 1951, JAMES E. ANGLADO, Civilian, 210 Waikai Avenue, Pearl City, Oahu, T. H., employed as a Sergeant of Police, Pearl Harbor Naval Base Police, Civilian Housing Area #3, Honolulu, Hawaii, was interviewed at the Main Street police station in CHA #3 by Special Agents of SID (IG) PACD MATS, Hickam AF Base. 24-24 released at 2300 hours on 23 May 1951 was a PIBAL (Pilot Balloon of either thirty (30) or forty-eight (48) inches diameter, with two (2) small lights dangling from the balloon; and that the balloon released at 0500 hours on 24 May 1951 was a much larger balloon of approximately five (5) to six (6) feet diameter, with lights generally attached, although possibly not attached if released in daylight. 3.
