DETAILS:

1. This investigation is the result of a report made by Special Agent CLARENCE A. TROUBLE, DO #13, Offutt AFB, dated 13 July 1949.

AT DECATUR, INDIANA

2. On 15 August 1949, , , Decatur, Indiana, was interviewed and stated that on 1 July 1949, while on a fishing trip in Ontario, Canada, he observed an object in the sky which appeared to be a so-called "flying saucer." The unidentified aerial object was sighted by Dr. and Mrs. while driving north on Highway #70, at a point about fifty to seventy (50-70) miles north of Ft. Francis, Canada, and near the east side of Lake

enjoys an excellent reputation in the Community, and it was believed that the
veracity and integrity of Dr. [redacted] are unassailable.

1. Will confer with the proper authorities at Aerial Medical Laboratory Research Department, Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio to determine if the theory of Uranium poisoning as expounded by DR. [redacted] has any basis in fact.

2. If Aerial Medical Laboratory is unable to supply an answer to this question of Uranium poisoning, and its connection with the so-called flying saucers, and the current Polio epidemic, steps will be taken to initiate inquiry in this direction to prove or disprove the theory.
