1. Sighted August 31, 1960 beginning at 11:35 P.M., Central Daylight Saving Time.
2. Sighted from residence: 3rd floor apartment at 1335 West Fargo Avenue, Chicago 26, Illinois; apartment overlooks Lake Michigan.
3. Object was viewed until 1:25 A.M; I am certain of this answer.
4. The condition of the sky was clear, no trace of daylight.
5. There were only a few stars; no moonlight.
6. The object was brighter than the background of the sky.
