File July 8, 1964 Capt. Hector Quintanilla Jr. Project Bluebook Dayton, Ohio Dear Sir, Having read an article in our Sun News and Leader by Emil R. Swilis entitled, "Probing Flying Saucers," I have decided to write to you about an incident that has puzzled us since Veterans Day, Nov. 11, 1957, Mon. we near 9:30 P.M. when my husband returned home from a meeting in Springfield, Mo. and called to me to come outside to see something. We rushed

ENC out and stood by the garage watching a bright object slowly approaching from the west. It seemed to be egg-shaped, near 16' high by 12' across judging it by the size of 1/2 our silo. We live on a farm seven mi. southeast of Spafford. The light inside the object was so bright it was blinding but I do remember noticing the rib cage or framework and trying so hard to distinguish some object inside as it seemed to have paused soundlessly about 100 yards from us. Then we heard a faint purr of a motor and it zoomed away to the

ENC southeast and was out of sight in seconds leaving us standing there in amazement wondering what we had really seen. Thinking there would be exciting news on the TV at 10:00 PM we were astounded that there was no mention made of it and not a neighbor or anyone that we told about it had seen anything unusual. I made notes about the incident thinking sometime I would learn the proper agency to which it should be reported. Do you have anything on record of sighting objects on that date? We wish so much to learn more about this strange craft. ~~Your study,~~
