Dear Sirs;

I would like to report what I believe was an unidentified flying object. If I have written to the wrong department I would appreciate it greatly if you would give this letter to the proper people.

I live at Pierce House of Western Reserve U. which is near 115th st. at about 11.75 P.M. on Tuesday November 9 I and a friend of mine were walking down 115th st. towards Euclid Ave. We saw a very bright white cream object that was less than 40° above the horizon. It was moving almost directly parallel to 115th st. and

dinner white. Then a stack of 9 green
appeared followed by a stick of red. This
would to extend backwards for about
1 diameter of the object. At this time
the object made an extremely tight
right turn that, as closely as I could
estimate, was exactly 90°. The other colors
disappeared and the object returned to
it's original brilliant color.

Just before the object made it's
turn a small private airplane flew over
our heads. I O's and wing lights were
clearly visible so was the outline of
the plane. I would estimate the height
of this plane at about 2,500 ft. The
object was very obviously much

turn would not certainly have time the wings off, as I have stated before the object spibited none of the lights that aircraft too.

After I got back to the dorm I calculated the original course at about 338.5°. I made the course after the turn was about 68.5°.

Two others were also attending Reserve saw the same object only they were on Euclid Ave. The were outside before we were and saw the object once several 10" turns. Their description is essentially the same as mine.

I would like to state that I consider myself a competent observer. I have been interested in aviation and astronomy for s
