SUBJECT: Unidentified Flying Object
Sighted Detroit, Michigan
2150 hours, 18 July 1958

1. Synopsis. Three brothers, ages 14, 16, and 19 sighted an object not identifiable at 2150 hours, 18 July 1958. Subsequent interviews of two of the brothers established objec

(3) Color: silver with two lights on one side of it.

(4) No sound or other discernible features were observed.

b. Description of the course of the object:

(1) first saw it in the back yard of their home.

(2) Object was at a 45 degree of elevation over downtown Detroit when first observed. (home is approximately one-half mile from downtown Detroit in a south west direction.)

(3) Object had just passed overhead swinging to a west, south west

a. Description of the object:
(1) Round or disc-shaped.
(2) About the size of a dime held at arm's length.
(3) Dull gray in color with two light colored spots opposite each other on the sides of the object.
(4) No sound or other discernible features were observed.

b. Description of the course of the object:
(1) ~~sighted~~ age 14, first observed it in the back yard of the ~~sighted~~ home.

e. Weather:

(1) advised that there were some clouds, but he was unable to estimate their altitude. The stars were visible over downtown Detroit.

6. OSI Comment. who was interviewed at his place of work, was in the U.S. Army for one year and was released from the Army because, according to him, "I wasn't smart enough."
