SUBJECT: Report on Unidentified Flying Object (UFO)

1. In accordance with AFR 200-2, par 15 dated 14 September 1959 the following Flying Object Report is submitted:

a. Description of the Object:

(1) Shape - Elliptical

(2) Size - Grapefruit (Larger than the evening star).

(3) Color - Similar to star, but brighter.

(4) Number - 1

(5) Formation

(2) Angle or elevation and azimuth of object: I first noticed the
object coming on an azimuth of 240°.

(3) Angle and azimuth of object: The object seemed to disappear
on an approximate heading of 260°.

(4) Description of flight path and maneuvers of object: The
object traveled it seemed from Southwest toward Northeast. It was
steady and it traveled on a straight course; as it guided.

(5) Manner in which object disappeared: The object disappeared
instantly.

(6) Length of time object was visible: The object was visible
about ten or twelve minutes.

STATEMENT

On or about 1945 OCT, 18 September 1960 I happened to look up at the sky and spotted a bright object. When I first noticed the object it appeared to be coming from the Southwest and traveling on a fixed course toward a northeast direction. I called my family to see it. In the mean time I went over to a friend of ours (Captain ) to have him look at it.

After watching the object for ten minutes I called our Base Weather station to check it out. When I returned to further observe the object it had disappeared leaving no trace. For years I have been interested in UFO. I have seen many
