Until the night of July 1 this year I have been very skeptical of reports of UFO sightings. On that night at approximately 11:45 there appeared out of the east a large luminous object so bright it was impossible for me make out any special shape. It seemed to hover, in a wobbly sort of way like a huge lantern, and then changed course and disappeared into the north.
