14 Sep 60 UPI A 33 BY UNITED PRESS INTERNATIONAL AN UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT WAS SIGHTED LAST NIGHT OVER THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, SANTA ANA, CALIF., AND SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS. THE FIRST REPORTED SIGHTING WAS MADE BY MOONWATCHERS AT TRINITY UNIVERSITY IN SAN ANTONIO. [REDACTED] HEAD OF THE TEAM, SAID THERE WERE NO U.S. SATELLITES DUE OVER THE AREA WHEN THE OBJECT WAS SEEN. MEMORANDUM: Called Mr [redacted], San Antonio, Moonwatch team head, who also works in the TV control room of a loyal TV station. He did not see the object in question, and referred me to Mr [redacted], the only witness. Mr [redacted] stated, upon being contacted, that he has been on the moonwatch team since the first Sputnick went up. He is a physicist in the Trinity University.
