Mr. Bertagon
Washington D.C.

Dear Sirs:

Recently, while looking through some old pictures, I came upon the enclosed map showing the three are two strange black dots on it which I have circled. I am reporting them as U.S. 50. I do not know when this picture was taken. I took in accidently. One thing I do know he was around (1954) to (1956). Thank you.

Yours Sincerely,

[Redacted]

P.S. My address is [redacted] Shreveport, La. I have you need to contact me.

Dear Mr. [redacted]

This is to acknowledge your letter of 29 January 1958 concerning unidentified flying objects which you photographed during the period of 1954-1956. The long time interval since the sighting, the lack of supporting information, and the poor quality of the photograph made it most difficult to properly evaluate this sighting.

However, enlargements show the objects appear to be birds on the rise, probably pheasants. Also, the foggy condition of the sky indicates smoke, possibly from a forest fire or brush fire.
