UNCLASSIFIED DETAILS: 1. This investigation predicated upon a directive, AFCSI letter No. 85, dated 12 August 1949, to report all sightings of unidentified flying objects. AT ALAMOGORDO, NEW MEXICO 2. Mr. [redacted], Special Agent, Office of Special Investigations, observed an unusual Aerial Phenomenon on 6 January 1950 at 2230 hours, and the following information is submitted: a. UNCLASSIFIED and the object no data was obtained. A Q-13 type-radar set was used in an attempt to pick up the object on radar. This attempt met with negative results. Checks were made with the Operations and Projects Division, Holloman AFB, and the Research Section of White Sands Proving Ground and it was determined that there have been no testing devices sent aloft in this vicinity which could account for this sighting. - CLOSED - UNCLASSIFIED
