SPOT INTELLIGENCE REPORT

SUBJECT: Reports of Unconventional Aircraft

TO: Director of Special Investigations
Headquarters United States Air Force
Washington 25, D. C.

1. SYNOPSIS: Recent reports of sightings of unconventional aircraft in Mississippi are, briefly, as follows:

a. Managing Editor of the Meridian Star, who is a major in the Mississippi National Guards, sighted an unconventional aircraft while flying an F-47 aircraft and flew in pursuit of the object.

b. Three (3) Mississippi National Guards enlisted members sighted an unconventional flyi

2. DETAILS:

a. [Redacted] of The Meridian Star, and a Major in the 153d Fighter Squadron, Mississippi National Guards, residing at [Redacted] Meridian, Mississippi, was interviewed by a Special Agent of the Office of Special Investigations (IC), on 16 November 1950 and reported the sighting of an unconventional flying object, during a flight he was performing in an F-47 type aircraft USMC, over Mississippi. (6) is physically fit for flying and is an active pilot. At time of sighting, had been in the air for thirty (30) minutes, denying any feeling of fatigue.

(7) While over Forest, Mississippi, at 21,000 feet, radioed to all aircraft and radio stations within range to draw attention to the object. The broadcast was received by Jackson Radio, McComb Radio, Maxwell Air Force Base, and Monroe Radio.

(8) Neighbors and Police Department gave as being of excellent reputation and reliable.
