DESCRIPTION OF INCIDENT At approximately 1430 CST on 9 April 1952, a C-46 crew observed an object between Shreveport, La., and Barksdale AFB. The C-46 was at 9,000 ft. on a heading of 90°. The object, which appeared to be disc-shaped, cream-colored and 30 to 40 feet in diameter was ahead of the aircraft at an estimated altitude of 4,000 ft. and coming directly toward it.
