PUBLICITY OF THE SOCORRO UFO AND TOO MUCH ALCOHOL ACCOUNTED FOR THE UNIDENTIFIED REPORT. HE OF EDWOOD, NEW MEXICO JUST EAST OF ALBUQUERQUE ABOUT 35 MILES REPORTED A UFO 27 APRIL AT 3:15. HE MOST AT THIS OBJECT WHICH WAS 55 TO 135 FEET ABOVE HIM AND SUPPOSEDLY HEARD THE BULLET RICHOCKET OFF METAL. THERE WASN, TANY SOUND OR HEAT FROM THIS OBJECT WHILE HE WAS UNDER IT. THE NIGHT OF 25 APRIL A MAN REPORTED SEEING AN OBJECT GOING BACK AND FORTH ACROSS A MOUNTAIN TO THE NORTHEAST AS HE WAS DRIING NORTH ON HIWAY 25 SOUTH OF SOCORRO. Referred him to Major Conner.

1230 hrs Marine Sgt Miller, P.O. Box 1468, Ruidoso, called with
U.F.O. report. Gave Major Conner's secretary the Sgts' phone no.
(CR-32927). Sgt Miller claims to have seen the U.F.O. through
"glasses". Object had very bright metallic appearance with oval
hump on left side.
