UNCLASSIFIED 16 January 1951 Sar 051050 SUBJECT: CONFIDENTIAL Subj: Sighting of possible unconventional aircraft; report of (4) Observers were located as indicated in paragraph (3) above. Object was approximately one (1) to one and one-half (1-1/2) miles to the southeast of observers at the southeast end, south side of runway #30, NAS Lakehurst, at an estimated altitude of 5000 feet. UNCLASSIFIED 8473 TO: OPERATIONS OFFICER L.O. 29, DECEMBER 1950 ABOUT 2119 ON 27, DECEMBER 1950 AN AIRSHIP WAS MAKING A LEFT-HAND TURN OUT FROM RUNWAY 30. WHEN A STAR-LIKE LIGHT APPEARED OVER HER TO THE SOUTHEAST. IT CIRCLED VERY SUDDENLY, AND HEADED SOUTHEAST AT AN ALTITUDE OF ABOUT 5,000 FEET.
