Dear Major,

I wish to know if possible, how the
evaluation of the Auburn (New York) sighting
of August 2, 65 and how it was classified.

Also, if I had known before had would
have already put it in a letter, that a
friend of ours is a prison guard and his
friend told him that on the night of August 2
he saw the same thing we saw but told
no one because of embarrassment. And the
night after the sighting my father was watching
the same object flying between here and
Syracuse through his telescope.

Sincerely,

And to sound a nover over a screen spot over time it came near it. The thin handy telescope with us I could see no tailnor wings just a circular shaped object. When it nouered in one spot it seemed to go straight down as if a hel copter making a landing. We was told to about 1:30 for a total of a little over an hour.

I was not cloudy that night and no aircraft other than that could be seen.
