Dear Sirs,

At approximately 4:15 P.M., Feb 12, 1959, I chanced to glance out of my window and noted that a jet plane had just passed overhead leaving a vapor trail. Next, it was noted that two objects had apparently cut through the layer of strata clouds cutting two very conspicuous swaths thus exposing the blue sky above.

The important thing was that the three lines were parallel so I immediately secured cameras to take a photograph. Though this only took less than a minute the f
