Saw 6 objects in southwestern sky and 3 near the big dipper at about 20:45 hr. until about 20:50 hr. Saw 2 more at 21:10 hr. until 21:16 hr.

Single lights going faster than a jet. Light was a yellowish white about as large as the 1st magnitude stars.

Went horizontally for about 5 minutes then slowly fading out. One went from the end star on handle of Big Dipper to end star in cup, in about 3 seconds.

Dear Sir,

This small summary of what I saw is true. It is not for publicity, for I don't care to have any.

I don't know what the objects were but I don't believe they were "flying saucers" or any fantastic idea like that. All I would like to know is what they were.

There were five people in the boat when we saw them. We were on our way from Winneconnie Wis. on Lake Butte Des Moite back to Oshkosh Wis. when we saw them.

I have read the two articles in the Saturday Evening Post by M. in the April 30 and May 7, 1949 issues and the

book; Report on unidentified Flying Objects by Mr. [illegible] So you see I know a little bit about the subject.
