Dear Sirs: On the days of May 22, 1904 and June 26, 1904 I witnessed an unidentified flying object near my home outside of Pittsburgh Pa. On May 23, while I was looking for planes, I noticed a lemoncous ball set against a darkening sky. The time was about 8:35 P.M. and the sun was starling to set. Being an amateur astronomer, I knew that it wasn't water because it was almost straight up and moving fairly rapid. The sky was perfectly clear and the winds were coming in from the west.
