# STATEMENT

As we were mounting the stairs we sighted this black object traveling
from south to north. The object was black, noisless and falling at a great speed.
It was revolving as it fell. It seemed to fall near the top of the mountain.
There were four of us on the roof-top. Mrs. [redacted] (child)
and [redacted] (child). We all saw the same thing and all agreed it was not
a bird nor a plane.

Approximately at 4:00 pm, Mrs. [redacted] (child) and [redacted] (child) were scanning the skies because of radio reports on the radio concerning the rocket falling from the Sputnik. Approximately at 4:10 pm, we saw an almond shape article in the sky. We were standing at a up stairs sun deck and were looking almost due east in direction. 1. Report originated through SEAMA Command Post, Norton AFB, California. Command Post received a telephone call from San Bernardino Sheriff's office at 1457 hours 2 December 1957. Call was in reference to another call from Banning California through Riverside County Sheriff's office that an object resembling a rocket had been sighted by Mrs. [redacted] and others of Canterdral
