Angle of elevation from horizon: Unknown.
Direction from observer: Estimate 10 degrees south of aircraft.
Direction of flight: Flash appeared across sky from East to West.
Tactics or maneuvers: None - flat projectory.
Evidence of trail or exhaust: No exhaust - trail from East to West suddenly disappeared.
Effect on clouds: No clouds visible.
Illuminosity: Extremely bright.
Apparent means of support: None apparent.
Projections: None visible.
Speed: Aircraft was heading 260 degrees, altitude of approximately 10,000 feet, traveling approximately 210 miles per hour, and

DETAILS:

1. This investigation is predicated upon verbal information received from Dr. LINCOLN LA PAZ, University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico, who, on 8 February 1950, advised that an unidentified aerial object was sighted at Albuquerque, New Mexico, on 7 February 1950.

2. On 16 February 1950, EDWARD S. BRUNSKOLE, Cpl, AF-13287295, and ROBERT W. POUND, Cpl, AF-15258332, Hq, 17th District Office of Special Investigations, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, were interviewed and offered the following information:
