SPOT INTELLIGENCE REPORT
SUBJECT: Sighting of Unconventional Aircraft
TO: Director of Special Investigations

Washington 25, D. C.
1. SYNOPSIS: Strange light, which might possibly have been reflected by unconventional aircraft, sighted by three persons in the vicinity of San Antonio, Texas, on the evening of 24 July 1951.
2. DETAILS: On 31 July 1951, Sgt REGINALD D. STACY, AF 11 187 423, and Cpl JOSEPH E. HEWITT,

Subject: Sighting of Unconventional Aircraft

obstruction light. STACY described the color as being somewhere between lemon-yellow and orange-yellow. HEWITT described the color as amber. The object appeared to be by itself, that is one light, and because of the distance, which neither airman could estimate, no aerodynamic features, trail or exhaust, propulsion system, speed or sound could be observed. The light appeared to make a slow gradual descent toward the horizon until it disappeared from view.

Subject: Sighting of Unconventional Aircraft

b. MINOR first sighted the object at 2047 hours CST and observed it for approximately 40 seconds; he resighted the object, after losing it, at 2126 hours and observed it for approximately one minute.

c. Observation was made visually with and without the aid of binoculars.

d. MINOR observed the object from the Control Tower at Brooks Air Force Base, Texas. Weather and wind conditions, obtained from wels-type sequence of Brooks Air Force Base, Texas, are as follows
