UNCLASSIFIED Ltr 10D 24-39, 10th OSI District (IC), Kelly AFB, Texas, 1 August 1951 Subject: Sighting of Unconventional Aircraft obstruction light. STACY described the color as being somewhere between lemon-yellow and orange-yellow. HEWITT described the color as amber. The object appeared to be by itself, that is one light, and because of the distance, which neither airman could estimate, no aerodynamic features, trail or exhaust, propulsion system, speed or sound could be observed.
