On the morning of 18 July 1949, between the hours of 0800 and 0900, an object was called to my attention by Pvt Its shape was round and its color was dull white. It was traveling in the air in an easterly direction at a high rate of speed. Soon after seeing it, I lost sight of it. The ceiling was unlimited. A C-82 was flying much lower. The object seemed to be in the stratosphere.
