Statement of __________, concerning unexplained lights: On the night of February 25, 1958, around 6:30 p.m., after darkness had settled, I was walking west on Melrose Avenue in Hampton and I sighted what appeared to be a V-formation of jets flying about 45° above the horizon and to my right. They were a series of lights in V-formation which I at first took to be a formation of jets with their lights shining. Memo - UFO Cse File 25 Feb 58 - Hampton 1. Check with U.S. Wildlife SVS - indicates that migratory fowl often do fly over cities or towns at night. Never at high altitudes (Note: Source here states that altitude of objects about 3000 ft). Canadian geese and other of family fly in formation. 2. All a/c plotted. No 6 or 7 in area at same time. 3. Radar claims nothing in area at those times, but states objects 1st of birds very seldom show or certain scapes & figures. 4.
