A globe of yellow incandescent light, travelling much faster than an F-84 (with
sound trailing far behind), was observed to travel from the North horizon to the South
horizon, West of Jacksonville, Florida, at an altitude of 2,000 to 3,000

1. Unidentified flying object was observed from Lake Forest, Florida 23 July. Sighted between 0001EST and 0015EST, and observed for a period of three to four minutes, by a civilian and his wife.

2. Reported as a globe of yellow, incandescent light, which was travelling much faster than an F-84, with noise trailing far behind the object. The shape was undetermined, but it appeared the same on all headings. No navigation or recognition lights were visible.
