This is in reply to your report of an aerial object which you were unable to identify on the night of August 30, 1965.

A check of the satellite schedules indicate that the object you observed was probably ECHO II which was passing over the area at 9:12 PM at 67 degrees elevation moving northeast on that date.

Mr [redacted] of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, reported a UFO observation on the night of August 30 at about 9:20 pm CST. The object resembled a star comparable in magnitude to the planet Venus. On the night of August 30, about 16:20 P.M.
