a later period six additional objects were noted. No vapor trails, exhaust, or sound was noted. This case is carried in the FTD files as being due to balloons, but aircraft seems a much more likely solution in view of the reported speed and maneuvers.

7. At Patrick AFB, Florida, on 18 July 1952, six separate observations of five different series of objects, described as lights, were reported. The initial object which set off the series of observations was a raw/monote balloon released from a point two miles south of the observer.
