Dear Sirs,

In regard to the so-called flying saucers this morning at nine thirty five I was walking along highway fifty adjacent to Livermore airport when I saw two objects which I shall hereinafter refer to as saucers.

I had been watching a turn engine transport plane flying in a southwesterly direction at approximately eight thousand feet. It was still faintly visible when I saw the two saucers to the left and higher up. They were at about a sixty degree angle from the earth surface traveling from south southeast to north north west judging from the plan altitude I estim

a trail of grey colored vapor behind. After about 30 seconds it came down again and rejoined the other which had been moving along as before. They resumed their circling then and disappeared shortly thereafter still proceeding at about the same speed and altitude. They did not rest vanish but passed gradually out of visual range.

The wind velocity was about 25 m.p.h. from north north east. I ascertained that by the wind direction finder atop Revenue airport. just to my left.

Having read about the saucers being illusions I tried looking at them from the corners of my eyes to see if there was
