On Sunday night, April 3rd, 1949, Mr. [redacted], patrolman of the Border Patrol, U.S. Immigration Service, came to my home to report the following:

A Mr. [redacted] and a Mr. [redacted] reported to Mr. [redacted] that on Thursday, 31 March 1949, Mr. [redacted] heard a plane overhead and missing. He next heard a very heavy explosion and thought that a plane had crashed. The time of day or night is
