SUBJECT: Extract from Duty Officers' Report

TO: AFCIN-4X2 (Major Friend)

The following, extracted from Capt Fletcher's Report dated 22 October 50, is quoted for your information:

"Mrs [redacted] Ohio (Pho [redacted]) called at approximately 1910 hrs to report that her ten year old son, [redacted] had seen a large, bright object fall from the sky in the [redacted]. I talked to [redacted] the boy said he was looking south when he saw the object fall - it fell stra

At 1150 hours 24 October 1960, TSgt Bailey called [redacted] the witness, and the following information was secured:

While facing south, a great big light, blue with red around it, was seen in the western sky. It was about 35 degrees elevation, and angling down in its descent toward the south, where it disappeared. There was no tail observed. The brightness of the object was about that of the stars. The object was in view for about 2 seconds.

There have been no other reports of this object being seen, and the boy was by his self. From the information reported, it appears that the object was
