1. This investigation initiated by the District Commander, upon receipt of a letter from Doctor [redacted], San Francisco, California, dated 23 April 1952, concerning the sighting of a bright luminous object traveling in the sky.

AT SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA

2. On 30 July 1952, [redacted], residence address, [redacted], San Francisco, was interviewed at his place of business, [redacted]. Advised that on the morning of 20 April 1952 he sighted an object in the sky of unconventional design. [redacted] gave the following i

approximately a couple of hours before sunrise. The object appeared in the northwest and advised he first noticed the object as it came into view from his right. The object moved south across the sky keeping to the west and disappeared in the southwest. The altitude and distance of the object were not estimated. The object appeared above the range of hills to the west and was approximately 25° above the horizontal line of sight. The object was observed for approximately one to two minutes, the actual time was not
