From Dayton Daily News - 1 June 52

Ball of fire exploded over Washington state at 1230 a.m. on Thursday night, 29 May 52 (actually 0030 PST, 30 May 52). Was similar to one that exploded on 11 May. Was bluish white light, silent, and burst into pieces. Astronomers say it was a meteor.
