Dear Sir:

I have enclosed information on a mysterious object which I saw following an airliner. I hope if you can give me an answer in what we saw, you will let me know. I have yet to think, that what I saw was not a flying saucer, but must have some logical explanation. I can assure you it was not any astronomical phenomena, because I am the president of the Astronomical Society, and I know most of the astronomical objects, such as meteors, comets, or asteroids, and what the look like. Please if you can give me any information on this please let me know.

Your letter of 12 January 1959 concerning unidentified flying object sighting at Baltimore, Maryland, contained insufficient information to allow a valid conclusion.

In this regard, will you please complete the inclosed questionnaire and forward it direct to the Air Technical Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. Based upon the additional information you will be advised of their conclusions.
