PROJECT 10973 RECORD CARD 15 Dec 52 HARTSVILLE, SOUTH CAROLINA 15/0915EST 15/1415Z AF Pilot 10-15 sec 1 Circular silver object appeared size of half dollar from a ten mile distance. Object appeared to oscillate, losing & gaining altitude rapidly. Observed by pilot of RF-80 a/c, at an altitude of 15,000' traveling 300 mph. 1. This report was checked against a similar one from Greensboro, N.C., 120 miles N which took place 10 minutes after this sighting.
