SUBJECT: Unidentified Flying Objects

1. SYNOPSIS: On 5 November 1950 at 1155 hours Mr. [redacted], Oak Ridge, Tennessee, sighted an unidentified flying object over the northwest corner of Oak Ridge area.

d. Location of observer - At the corner of and , Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The object appeared to be near a mountain ridge about six (6) miles distant. The object was on a compass bearing of 305 degrees. The altitude of the object remained within a short distance above or below the ridge of the mountain. (Note: stated that for the object to be as large as he described and to be six (6) miles distant its size would be comparable to a three (3) story building a half a block long).
