The description, duration, and direction of flight are characteristic of satellites. On 4 September, Echo II was traveling northeast of New York at 7:28 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. If the time of your observation was Eastern Daylight Time, the object you observed was Echo II. Dear Sirs,

I am a 14 year old high school student and a resident of Ozone Park, N.Y. On the night of Sept. 4, 1965 at approximately 8:30 EST I saw what I believe is a U.S. St. was traveling in a Northeasterly direction. It was not a star because it did not twelve using my binoculars, which has a power of 393 ft at 1000 yds. I focused my binoculars on the object and it appeared to have a triangular shape and had a very bright white color to it. Surrounding the object was a silverish white hair. It was moving at a steady

pass I live about 1 1/2 miles from Kennedy International Airport. If you can could you please tell me what it was and give me some information on it. By information, I mean if it was a satellite please give me the name of it and other data on it.

And also if you can give me some literature on Cape Kennedy
