At 1610 hours (MST), 2 September 1952, a disc-like object was sighted directly over Rapid City, South Dakota. The object was observed for one (1) minute.

The object was stationary and located at an altitude of approximately 13,000 feet and below the bases of existing clouds. Weather conditions on that day were; light scattered clouds with bases at 13,000 feet. Object appeared to be four (4) to five (5) i
