Comments of preparing Officers' Because of stationary nature of the object
sighted an attempt was made to explain the sighting as a beacon light, possibly pro-
jected high over the horizon through conditions of atmospheric and refraction phan-
onomen. However, study of WAC charts showed no beacon lights on the report
