Gentlemen:

Sometime ago (February 1964) I wrote you concerning an object which I saw in the night sky and I thought it was a UFO. I filled out the data sheet which you sent me, after studying the information your reply was that this was probably a weather balloon.

Later on towards the last part of February, on a snowing night I and my father were walking along coming back home from working on our jeep. We were looking at the ground as anyone would do, when we heard the sound of a airplane so I looked up and saw a large …

I did not bother to report this because I thought it could have been a car's headlights reflection or light reflecting off of a cloud or something that could be easily explained. But now I have reason to believe that this was a real flying saucer because I think that it was taking photos of the ground. I am writing you now mainly because of what my mother told me as to what she saw.

In the last part of February 1965, my mother said that she saw in broad daylight a white saucer with a domed tip extend a long stem like landing gear and land in an open pasture field near our home. We were in sch…

long stem which then went up into the saucer. She said that she could hear a loud buzzing or humming sound and could see the outer edge of the saucer rotating very fast in a clockwise motion. After the saucer lifted from the ground she watched it climb away out of sight (straight up) making a very loud humming sound. The reason why she did not report this is because she thought that if anyone found out about it that they might call her crazy and have her put in a institution. I and my family are the only one that know. I finally persuaded her to let me write to you and tell you what she saw.
