SUBJECT: Extract from Duty Officers' Report 12 Dec 60

TO: AFCIN-4X2, Maj Friend

The following, extracted from OD Reports dated 10 and 11 Dec 60, is quoted for your information:

2215, the Military Flight Service OD called and relayed to me a reported UFO received by the Detroit Center. Since this was just being passed on and not being reported by the individual actually sighting the UFO, ATIC Form 164 was not used. The information is attached.

The Detroit Center passed a message to the Military Flight Service and
It was seen by a Capital Airline pilot. He was north of Cleveland
on a landing of 331°. He observed the object for approx. 5 min. and it
was landing from NW to SE. The object was extremely bright and
intermittent. He has observed Eclo F and this object was much
brighten than this. The main name is [redacted] and his
address is Elongrover, Wisconsin.
This is all of the information the O.D. had.
