(CLASSIFICATION)
On 13 August 1952, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, at 1411 hours local time (1911Z) approximately 20 Airmen and two Civilians made the following sighting:
From one to three flying objects were observed heading approximately 360 degrees and gaining altitude. One object changed course abruptly to the East moving in

1. The objects were elongated, indefinite in shape, of unidentifiable color, possibly three in number, were not in formation, no visible aerodynamic features, no trail or exhaust, no visible propulsion system, speed (after turn) in excess of 600 H.P.H., negative sound, two abrupt 90 degree turns, one to West, second to East, disappeared in the distance and appeared to eminate white light from upper surface (possibly reflected sunlight).

c. The object seemed to rise vertically and to the North for about two minutes at a slow rate then veered violently to the West. Just prior to this a B-50 flew into the observers line of vision. The object appeared to be at a greater range than the B-50 which was at least five miles away at about 5,000 feet. While heading West the object appeared to move in an excess of 600 M.P.H.
