SUBJECT: Unidentified Flying Object Report

Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio

The attached report was received by our Information Services Office. Although the date time group of occurrence is generally compatible with the Athena firing, telephonic check with White Sands indicates that no Athena was fired on 12 November 1965. I have no idea what this might be.

was also standing by telephone to verify his reporting facts...

FRIDAY EVENING 12 Nov '65...between 9:10 and 9:30 p.m. hunting with partner... upper Bull Creek, Pecos country, 5 miles SE of Elk Mnt.
Saw aircraft before x sighting, about 3/4 hour, traveling east to west.
Then saw object...described as egg-shaped.. Object was traveling due north from the south. He sighted over the horizon about 30 degrees..
