DETAILS:

1. Headquarters Fourth Army on 9 June 1949, furnished report of unidentified objects which had been sighted, in New Orleans, La. Three separate reports were submitted on incidents which occurred on 18, 19, and 23 May 1949.

2. At 1630 hours, 18 May 1949, Mrs. [redacted] Street, New Orleans, La. Sighted one unusual aerial object while sitting on the back steps of her house. Informant compared the object to a single engine Naval training craft, stating that it was silver in color, but resembled an ordinary dinner plate. The object was in sight for ten minutes and was

5. On 20 May 1949, object was sighted at 1600 hours by Mr. [redacted], Tulane University, New Orleans, La. [redacted] was interviewed on 31 May by a member of the Branch Intelligence Office, New Orleans, La. [redacted] stated that at 1605 hours on 20 May, he was lying on his back at the beach in the Pontchartrain Beach area, New Orleans, La. and sighted an unusual aerial object. [redacted] is a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserve and was formerly an Intelligence Officer. He stated he first saw only one object, but later five smaller objects grouped around a larger one. All were bright a

that is above average in intelligence, and has pronounced ability to judge distances, space and speed; further that he appeared to be reliable and a man of good character.

7. In interview on 24 May 1949, Mr. [redacted] Street, Dallas, Texas, stated that at 2:00 hours, 21 May 1949, from the front yard of 1025 Cliff Dale Street, he saw about twenty objects of the same size, evenly spaced, looking like a little's tail. Objects were described as being about half the size of a man's fist at arm's length, were fluorescent white in color, with slight oscillation. Shape of the obje

11. On 16 June 1949, this office received through G-2, Fourth Army, copies of letter dated 2 June 1949 from Fort Bliss, reporting another unconventional aircraft observed on 30 May 1949. Copies of this report are also attached.

12. On 16 June 1949, this office received through Fourth Army, copies of "Guide to Investigation - Unidentified Aerial Objects". Object was observed at 1950 hours, 5 June 1949, at Wingate Ordnance Depot, Gallup, New Mexico, by Captain [redacted], Post Engineer of the Ordnance Depot.
