Several other groups followed this first group. All of them were in some sort of formation. These objects were in sight during a one hour period, but no group was in sight form more than a few seconds.  |

6. Number of objects and sketch of formation or grouping.

a. First group - Eleven in this group. This group went directly overhead - heading due West. A noise which sounded like a group of ducks coming in to land on water or an air hose, drew the attention of the Informants to the group passing over. However, the noise which they heard did not come from this group.

b. Second group - Nine in this group. Passed overhead about 2 to 3 minutes after the first group. This group approached from the East and was headed due West.

Dear Sir:

Dr. La Pas I am writing to you because you happen to be the only person of whom I know in the State of New Mexico who is, in the interest of science, interested in unusual occurrences or manifestations. I have read of you excavating the meteorite that fell in Nebraska and of your interest in that field.

Dr. La Pas I am 25 years old and do consider myself a mature young man, but the strange sights I have just seen make me wonder.

I am writing you for information about certain "objects" which have been reported from time to time and have been called "Fly

If not, I for one am ready to believe the story of the "flying saucers" which up to now I have not. I would like to keep in touch with you if I or any of my friends happen to see any of these strange "things".

First time we saw the "objects", heading due west at an extremely high altitude and at a very high rate of speed, they were not in sight over 10 seconds. They passed directly overhead. Time 6:30 in the morning. They were in a tight group as shown at left, eleven in group.

About 10 minutes later we observed another flight of these "objects" heading due west very high and fast. When directly overhead the last one on the left suddenly left the rest and headed southwest. All went out of sight in a
