Narrative

On 7 April 1956 at 0242Z, an observer described as a service station owner age 36 sighted a round, light blue hazy object while in a car. The object floated out of sight into the southwestern horizon over approximately ten minutes. Also observed by an observer at Spartanburg observation post. Sighting was through a car windshield; conclusion was possibly astronomical (Jupiter or Sirius distorted by windshield).
